Ok after some research and about to buy Zelda Collectors Gamecube game. I learned that I need more then just the game to play

I need a controller and wii memory card. I was looking at buying this controller:

Now my friend said that wont work, and I need a specific gamecube controller? But the above controller will work with downloaded Zelda games from the virtual console?

So if thats the case instead of buying Zelda collectors I might just download them, The Virtual console has all the same Zelda's available to download compared to the Collectors

So all I need for the virtual console versions is that controller I posted above correct? No additional memory card?

Also how would I go about playing Wind Waker if I cannot download it? Virtual console doesnt have that available to download
