Its unable to read discs anymore, they don't even show up when i put them in. I live in Houston Texas if anyone knows somewhere i wont have to ship it in to but either way is fine
i was also wondering if sony would replace it with the newer model...i'm not sure if they completely stopped making it

nope i would just trust sony to fix this matter because first gens are very hard to come buy now if you have anything coustom i would get it out like a HDD and pay sony to fix it so u can get another first gen back
