the melee is for gamecube. i have the gamecube remote nad memory card...just afraid to put the disk in and have it ruined

Yes, the Wii works perfectly with GCN games.

just put the disk in like you do with other games, it works fine, you need the gamecube controller

The Wii was made to also play GameCube games (it says so in your manual), so you will definitely be able to play practically any GameCube game on it (same region) without ruining your Wii.
I've seen a friend load up GC games on his Wii. Works perfectly. |

It is meant to take the disk so you cannot easily ruin your wii. Disk goes in just fine, done it many times. By the way, if you like melee, you will love brawl.

Yes, you can play it on your Wii. The Wii is backwards compatible for all Gamecube games, so the game won't get ruined. Plug the Gamecube remote into the plugs under the flap on top of the Wii, same with the memory card, stick the disk in and have fun!

yes, the wii can play gamcube games, it was disigned play both gamecube and wii games. you can also put your memory card in the wii, you can only samve gamecube games on the wii with a gamecube memory card.
