I want to buy a gamecube game for my wii. I've been reasearching it, and am wondering if I can use a wirless controller, or if it has to have a wire. Does it have to be the "wavebird" or can it be the regular type? And does it have to be from Nintendo, or can it be the Game Stop brand? I have the game stop kind and it does not work with my wii. Maybe it is because I have a wii game in there, but i did this just to test if the controller would work. When I plug in the game cube controller, the wii shuts off and will not turn on until I unplug the controller and the wii in the back, and plug in the game console again. Any suggestions, I need help please! Thanks

any gamecube controller should work, I have tried original and wavebird. Keep in mind only a few Wii games let you use a gamecube controller like Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.
