can i use a classic controller for wii like how i use a controller for the ps3?
im really debating if i should buy a wii or not for christmas but i want to know if i could use a classic wii controller like how you use a ps3 controller for games like the legend of zelda skyward sword and such.

Yes for the most part you should get the classic pro it's better but not Extremely different it's 25$ that and it's layouts for the buttons might be different but for most games they have multiple choices so you should be fine in theory also not all games let you use it but it says it on the box

I don't know how to use a ps3 controller, but I know they sell classic controllers that you can buy for your Wii. They have wireless ones, and wired ones that you hook up into the Wii.
