OK, let me put it down:
In São Paulo, Brazil (Where I live) it is currently 5:36 pm AND IT IS POURING RAIN OUTSIDE!!! Every now and then, lightning and thunder strike. Now it has kinda stopped for 5 minutes. So I *thunder noise again* have the strongest urge to play Zelda. (FOR WII) Can I play it even though there (Oh s*it light went out) is a storm now? *Light is on again!! yay!!* Are there any risks, besides the whole "lights went out, I didn't save my game" ? Could I get electricuted? Or worse, could my wii get damaged? Thanks a lot for the answers, Aurea <3 |

Well I think you would be okay but I wouldn't take the chance, lightning could strike
your Wii break it and also electorcute you |

If you're really worried, I would hold off on it.
However, if everything is connected in a good surge protector, you should be safe. If there is sudden surge in power, everything will just shut off on its own, but no damage will be done (that's only if your surge protector is good enough) |

When there's a thunderstorm going around you (& within 20 miles of your location, as lightning can strike that far out from a storm), you use your electronics AT YOUR OWN RISK here.
However, if you have a good surge protector between your Wii & the outlet, you SHOULD BE OK... but there's no guarentees. If you're really paranoid about your Wii getting crispy... just unplug it for now. |
