My sister got a Wii for christmas and we bought mario party 8. But we cant figure out how to get the 2nd controller connected.

Cool, i also have mario party 8!
You just have to press the menu button on the wii remote control, and then go to something like remote control settings. Then it will ask you to connect the second remote by pressing 12 (on the wii remote)at the same time on both remotes. Once you did that, you wait, and then play with 2 people. =) |

open the battery cover press the little red button then on the front of the wii open the little cover and press that red button it should sycranize.

i usually go to the game then press the home button on the remote and on the bottome it says wii remote settings or something like that click that then click reconnect and the first player presses 1 and 2 at the same time on the remote and then the 2nd player does it and when they both vibrate and make the sound they're connected so just click anywhere and then click close remote setting and close. have fun

you turn it on the same way you turn the first one on.
my boyfriend has one and as far as i know they all turn on the same way. |

Open the SD compartment on the front of the WII. Turn the WII on. Press the red button inside the compartment before you get to main menu. Then press the red button inside the battery compatment of the wii remote. It should sync up. I had the same problem christmas day.
