What game would you recommend from the Wii's Virtual Console list?

What game would you recommend from the Wii's Virtual Console list?
I welcome answers with explanations on their favorite games and/or your own list of virtual console games. I have enough points to buy any virtual console game, just can't decide which.

2000 NP's or so to burn & no idea what to go with, huh?
If you have a Classic Console / Pro controller OR a Gamecube controller, you'll be able to access the entire Virtual Console catalog. If you only have the Wiimote, your selection will be limited as you won't be able to play SNES or N64 titles. My recommendations will be listed by the console they're on... Nintendo 64 Title recommendations (1000 NP, Classic Console / Gamecube controller required) * Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time * Mario Kart 64 * Super Mario 64 * Paper Mario * Super Smash Bros. Super NES Title Recommendations (800 NP, Classic Console / Gamecube controller required) * Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past * Super Metroid * Final Fantasy III (aka Final Fantasy VI) * Final Fantasy II (aka Final Fantasy IV) * Chrono Trigger * Super Mario RPG NES Title Recommendations (500 NP) * Super Mario Bros. 3 * Metroid * Legend of Zelda * Kirby's Adventure * River City Ransom * Mega Man series (1 - 5, 6 not out yet...) Sega Genesis Title Recommendations (800 NP) * Phantasy Star series (2 - 4) * Sonic the Hedgehog series (1-3, + Knuckles) -- NOTE: Sonic & Knuckles includes "Lock-on" support with previous Sonic games (like the original Genesis version had) TG-16 Title Recommendations (600 NP) * Bomberman '93 * Ys: Book I & II * Castlevania: Rondo of Blood * Neutopia series (1 & 2) There are some Wiiware titles that are related to the Virtual Console library... which are... * Excitebike: World Tour (1000 NP) * Mega Man 9 / 10 (1000 NP / ea. + DLC) * Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (800 NP + DLC) * Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (1500 NP) If I have to pare down the list to about 5 titles, my recommendations would be: 1) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64, 1000 NP) -- One of the best Zelda games out there. 2) Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES, 500 NP) -- Best of the classic Mario games. 3) Final Fantasy III (aka VI | SNES, 800 NP) -- Best RPG of the VC systems available 4) River City Ransom (NES, 500 NP) -- Hidden Gem of a game as it's a "Brawler" RPG (if you want to label it as such) 5) Super Metroid (SNES, 800 NP) -- One of the best classic Metroid games out there. Please be aware that prices are noted in "Nintendo Points", which is the generic term that includes DSi & Wii Points. Just to avoid confusion there. Hope this helps!
