Default My Wii and Ps3 are Connected to the Internet but I can't play online?

I have my wii and ps3 both connected to the internet with a wireless router but I can't play games against people online. Whenever i try it says to check my internet connection but my connection is fine. Does anybody know what may be causing this problem??
Thanks For Answering

is ur ps3 a 40 gig? if it is, its not suppose to be able to go online. add me to ur contacts, ill answer ur questions.
also, the wii u should be able to go on internet already. Is it that ur internet works only for comp? the wii already goes online, it uses it for weather and email. So double check to see if u have those,

What i have learned is (for PS3) is sometimes the connetion to your modem builds up static and you have to unplug it ...rub the stem leave it free for 1 minute or so then try it good luck
