I just bought a Nintendo Wii I just have 2 questions maybe someone can help:

1. I understand the yellow light is standby shut off. If you leave the Wii like that for long periods of time, will it harm the console? Does leaving the Wii on standby shut off do long term damage?

2. How do you turn the light to RED? That's the complete shut off

leaving the standby mode on doesn't do anything to your wii i do it to mine. and if u want to turn it off completely go to wii settings and turn wii connect 24 off then the light should turn red
