In Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64, is the Luigi rumor really true?
Don't tell me "Yes, he's in the DS version!" I'm talking about the rumor from the N64 version.The rumor was that you can somehow unlock Luigi in the game as a playable character.

No it is not true. Luigi was never playable in the original version, although rumours were abound due to a sign saying "L is real 2041" on a statue.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_mario_64#Rumors

No... this rumor came out after a gaming news website published this "cheat" to get Luigi on April Fools day. It involved doing tedious, annoying, and possibly impossible things, such as completeing certain courses 100 times/ in 2 minutes. It was based off a statue in the gardens that seems to read "L is real". The way they made the "screenshots" was simply photo editing of Mario, and not all that well done, for some errors remained. It is an entire fabrication, don't belive it for a second!

Wow...I've tried to look for him. Also I've heard of some kind of Yoshi thing?? But i've never found them both. The luigi cheat was put on the internet, but after days of trying I could never do it. So like, it's just a rumor >.> don't listen to them.
